Introduction

         On the 4th day of March 2021, Tanzania Enlightenment Development Innovations (TEDI) had an opportunity to have a dialogue on the skills young professional needs to have been successful in their careers in the 21st century at TEDI Tanzania headquarters, Ms. Gloria Anderson the Executive Director successfully facilitated the event. A total number of 22 female youth and 4 speakers managed to attend the Dialogue. Female youth attended were from different fields (students, entrepreneurs, NGO’s founders, graduates, peer educators, youth activist) and speakers were Mrs. Tumaini Lawrence CEO of Tanzania Institute of Women Accountants (TAWCA), Ms. Caroline Anande Cultural Journalist, Madam Tike Mwakitwange Head of Human Resource-Multichoice Tanzania and Ms. Mary Mwalekwa CEO of Mary brown Events. The Dialogue was prepared honoring the women’s history month.The guest started arriving at 8:00am at TEDI headquarters and around 9:00am the dialogue   began by having a welcome speech from Ms. Gloria(Executive Director) and later she welcomed the first speakers Ms. Mary Mwalekwa CEO of Mary brown Events who was to be shared with the participants on the importance of finding what you like to do and willing to take time to learn also not being  afraid to pay or spend money on their talents.

The second speaker was Mrs. Tumaini Lawrence, CEO of Tanzania Institute of Women Accountants (TAWCA), who also shared the importance of digital literacy to women and take opportunities to arise from the growth of technology to succeed in their professional and businesses.

 

the third speaker was Ms. Caroline Anande Cultural Journalist, also emphasized so much about being constantly self assess and be willing to agree with emotional challenges, she said if you are depressed do not stress on hiding your feelings. The event highly managed to motivate the female youth through the main speakers stories and teachings and able to get impactful feedback from the participants last but not least is Madam Tike Mwakitwange Head of Human Resource-Multichoice Tanzania was unable to be physically present at the event but that was not the setback to share her knowledge virtually with the participants, she insisted that there are a lot of challenges in life and nothing comes easy girls and women need to be strong and stick to what you think is right
