TEDI extends sincere appreciation to Drexel Tech Serve for generously providing the computers that made the lab possible, and to the Kibasila Secondary School administration for championing the initiative from the very beginning. Parents and community members also played an important role through their continued support and commitment to student success.

Speaking during the launch, the Head of School emphasized the responsibility that comes with this investment “TEDI has entrusted the school with a great responsibility through the provision of these computers, and the school community is committed to honoring this support by working toward improved academic performance and better examination results for our students.”

Parents echoed this commitment, expressing appreciation and pledging to support the effective use of the lab to strengthen learning outcomes. Reflecting on the broader significance of the initiative, TEDI’s Executive Director – Ms Gloria Anderson highlighted the importance of local leadership in digital transformation: “Development is a local language. At TEDI, we believe the time has come to shift from reliance on external aid to local ownership. By localizing digital transformation, we are not just installing hardware—we are building a sustainable future led by Tanzanians, for Tanzanians.”
More than a ceremonial event, the launch represented a community coming together to invest in its own progress. From education leaders to parents and students, the collective commitment demonstrated that digital inclusion is strongest when driven locally and supported through partnerships.
This new computer lab represents more than infrastructure—it is an investment in skills, confidence, and opportunity for the next generation. Together, we are building pathways for digital inclusion. Together, we continue empowering minds through technology.
